How Verification Works
Three steps from ID to trust state
Verification is a real-time, read-only lookup against the certification registry. It does not change the record — it reports the record's current standing exactly as held by the authority.

Read the trust state
You receive the record's current trust state, subject details, and key dates, with a plain-language meaning.
What To Expect
Reading your verification result
Every result returns one of seven trust states, plus the subject, certificate ID, and key dates. The trust state — not the existence of the QR — is what tells you whether the record can be relied on today.
Active certification
A Certified state means the record is active, accountable, and trustworthy at the moment you check.
Caution or in progress
Pending, Verified, Suspended, or Expired states indicate certification is not currently active. Proceed with care.
No active trust
Revoked, Archived, or no matching record carry no certification confidence. Do not rely on the record.
